Job Description
The Automotive Electronics (AE) division develops and manufactures electronic control units (e.g. for combustion engines, comfort functions, airbags) and a wide range of sensors (e.g. for battery charge state, inertial, yaw-rate, pressure, NOx). These products are engineered to a state-of-the-art level both in technology and reliability and are to be found in cars of a very large group of manufacturers.
The group you will belong to is responsible for mechanical development of drive electronics for various passenger car applications like comfort and power train electrification. You will be a part of an international and multi-disciplinary project team developing and evaluating innovative technical solutions in close cooperation with mechanical designers and reliability engineers.
Your contribution to something big
- ► Perform a wide range of finite element simulations for different automotive electronic control units
- ► Support project teams in different product life cycle phases (concept to series) of ECUs
- ► Evaluate results of calculations and simulations
- ► Recommend design optimization, support project decisions based on simulation results
- ► Create documentation and present results to international project teams
- ► Continuously develop simulation methods and programming of tools
- ► Independently coordinate simulation projects
What distinguishes you
- ► University degree in mechanical engineering, physics or comparable
- ► In depth knowledge in mechanics (statics, dynamics) and in the theory of Finite Element Method
- ► Experience with FE simulation software (Ansys is an advantage)
- ► Systematic, logical, structured, keen on in depth problem solving
- ► Ability to work within an international project team, good English language knowledge
- ► Result orientation, good presentation and communication skills, ability to summarize complex technical details into recommendations to the project team
