Job Description
The Powertrain Solutions division develops and manufactures innovative technologies for the entire powertrain in the market segments of Electrification, Passenger Cars, Commercial Vehicles and Off-Highway.
With our trend-setting and innovative mobility concepts, we are a preferred worldwide partner for innovative solutions and dynamically contribute to the change in mobility. Doing so, we help our customers to significantly reduce their costs, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
In addition, we enable a completely new driving experience.
Your contribution to something big
Responsible for:
- Developing embedded software for multicore microcontrollers in the area of high-voltage power electronic control units (Inverters) for electric and hybrid vehicles
- Integration of existing software components according to platform concept
- Configuration of internal/external peripherals of micro controller and other system chips
- Configuring communication stack and internal state machine
- Analysis and development of requirements
- Validation and troubleshooting of internal/external SW-tests
What you bring:
- Basic knowledge of micro controller internals
- C/C++ programming language knowledge
- Basic knowledge of electronics and circuits
Good to have:
- Basic knowledge of real-time, multitasking operating systems
- Hands-on experience with debugging
- Understanding of software build pipeline, tool-chain
- Basic knowledge of communication protocols (LIN, CAN, FlexRay, ...)
Cooperate on various fields:
- You work in an interdisciplinary and international team with specialist groups and experts from various departments
- You are the first point of contact for hardware developers and testers
- You work in an agile and technically demanding environment
Qualifications
What distinguishes you
Education:
- Engineer (BSc / MSc) in software engineering, computer science, automotive engineering, electrical engineering or comparable subject area
Personality:
- Result-oriented, independent, initiative and structured
- High motivation and quality awareness
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in teams
- Ability to quickly gain an overview on complex technical content or complex project situations
Experience and know-how:
- Professional experience in software development for ECU and embedded software beneficial
- Familiarity with model-based software development
Languages:
- English advanced (German skills are beneficial)
