Still unsure? Let me tell you what we can give you.
Got some questions? Let us bust some myths for you!
Myth 1: Working with Pega limits my career possibilities.
Pega leverages digital process automation (DPA), including artificial intelligence and robotics, to unify business processes and customer journeys. For the past decade or so, Pegasystems has been nominated as the leader in numerous industry reports, including the famous Magic Quadrant. With competitors like IBM, Tibco or Oracle, working with Pega is always challenging you to stay up-to-date with the latest functionalities and areas of use. Knowing Pega is among the last skills that could pay off the most in 2020, according to CNBC.
If you are interested in solving higher-level client pains and dig deeper in them to deliver a good fitting solution, that will reward you with a skill that you can utilize for the rest of your career.
At Saltech, progressing in your career as a Pega architect is not just a possibility - it’s also a requirement. In a few months, you should be able to deliver smaller chunks of work independently, and in a year or two, you’re expected to partake in mentoring our juniors. Low-code development has a big potential - according to Gartner:
By 2024, low-code application development will be responsible for more than 65% of application development activity.
Myth 2: I don’t need to be a software engineer to develop on Pega.
A Pega developer uses different tools compared to someone working with a general-purpose open programming language (like Java, Python, C#, etc), but the software development process and skills needed are the same.
It is really important to understand how the platform and its generated code is working in the background. Without a thorough understanding of the underlying architecture and technologies running in the background, it’ll be difficult or impossible to debug or architect more complex topics.
Myth 3: The training period is not paid at Saltech Consulting
Once you join Saltech, we provide you with a base salary, which is an average junior software developer salary. Upon successfully finishing the training period, you will have the chance to renegotiate your benefits on a quarterly basis.
